Safe Housing Initiative
Many families living in extreme poverty in the riverine islands (chars) are vulnerable to floods and storms. They often lose their homes to natural disasters every year.
Project Nirapad aims to construct low-cost, disaster-resilient housing for 50 such families. These houses are elevated and built with durable, locally-sourced materials to withstand the harsh conditions of the chars.
